It’s quite simple — without volunteers there would be no Rendezvous.
Each and every year our gracious volunteers step up to the plate to assist in a multitude of ways that make this unique northern event memorable.
Volunteering for Rendezvous is all about bringing the community together and is a prime example of what Yukoners can do to contribute. Along with the fun, all of our supporters gain a wealth of experience and get the chance to interact with individuals from a variety of sectors across the territory.
Yukon’s winter tourism market relies a great deal on the participation of community members and non-profit organizations to make several events and festivals come alive, and Rendezvous is no exception. “Our Yukon people, our volunteers, are probably our most precious asset,” says Marj Eschak, past president of the Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous Society. “Ask anyone who has travelled to visit the Yukon and they will tell you time and time again — it’s the people!”
If there is an event or activity you would like to get involved in, or a project you would like to work on, let us know.
Please fill out the online form if you are interested in volunteering. We need volunteers year round for a variety of tasks whether it be ticket selling, event production, setup/tear down, etc, etc, etc, etc... we have a job for everyone!
