Yukon African Music Festival 2026
Friday February 6th 2026 - Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre
The Yukon African Music Festival highlights African culture through music, food, crafts, and dance. The 13th annual festival will be held on February 6 and 7 at the Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre in Whitehorse, in conjunction with Black History Month and International Development Week. The Yukon African Music Festival 2026 will feature performances by international artists such as Samba Mapangala, the Virunga band, Orisomi, Fiddleheads Yukon, a fashion show, African cuisine, and more. More than 50 artists, including Juno Award winners and locals such as Leonard Boniface, Jennifer Frohling and Dennis Shorty, will perform at the event.
AFY's Sugar Shack

"The Sugar Shack is an annual event celebrating maple syrup season at the Association franco-yukonnaise. Maple Taffy on snow will be sold from 9:30am to 13:30 pm. 3$ per serving. "
All-City Band Society Annual Dessert & Dance Fundraiser
Saturday February 14th 2026 - FH Collins Secondary School Atrium
Come out and dance to some great tunes with the All-City Jazz Band and The Big Band on Saturday 14th February 2026 (7pm - 10pm) this year in the FH Collins Secondary School Atrium and not only will you be having fun, you'll be supporting All-City Band Society's Trip to Edmonton Cantando Festival this Spring! And of course, there will be delicious desserts, dance lessons, lots of opportunities to dance and a silent auction. Square and Contra dance
Sunday February 15th 2026 - Guild Hall, Porter Creek
The square and contra dance will feature a live band-Megan MacLeod(fiddle), Rick Avery (piano)and Scott Wilson (bass). It will include a variety of contra, square and ceilidh dances. A caller will teach everything you need to know and walk trhough each dance. Come with comfortable, clean footwear and loose layers of clothing. It’s amazing how quickly you warm up once the music starts. This is a no alcohol, no smoking event, suitable for teens and adults.
Knights of Columbus 54th Annual Rendezvous Sourdough Pancake Breakfast
Saturday February 21st & Sunday February 22nd 2026 - 8:00am to 12:00pm – CYO Hall
Start your day the right way! A staple of the Rendezvous festival since the 1960s, dedicated volunteers will be serving up delicious pancakes. Support this annual fundraiser and fuel up for the day’s events!
Youth 6-12: $6.00 Seniors: $8.00 and Adults: $10.00
Rendezvous Barn Dance
Saturday February 21st 2026 - Yukon Transportation Museum
The Fiddleheads will be hosting their annual Rendezvous Barn Dance at the Yukon Transportation Museum, featuring dance caller Marlon Davis and the Fiddleheads. They will be joined by the Fiddleheads back-up band led by the amazing Jack Walcher-Wegmann. No dance experience required. This is a favourite family-friendly event for all ages.
