Re: News Release: 2020 Quest for the Crown Candidates and Mr and Mrs Yukon

The Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous Festival is pleased to introduce you all to our 2020 Quest for the Crown Candidates. This year we have seven amazing candidates who will be competing to win the Rendezvous Crown. Miss ALX Exploration and Mining Supplies; Alexandra Cimarno, Miss Gray Management Services; Amanda Bourque, Miss Yukon Arts Centre; Brenda Pilatzke- Vanier, Mr Bra Boutique; Cameron Penner, Miss Asahiya Japanese Restaurant; Kate McConnell, Miss Whiskey Jacks Pub & Grill; Robyn Gillespie and Miss Yukon Home and Tour; Winnie Hoe. The candidates will be out around Whitehorse until Rendezvous weekend meeting community members, participating in events and of course selling Rendezvous Raffle Tickets.  If you have a favorite Quest for the Crown Candidate that you want to nominate for People’s Choice, simply go to and vote for who you would like to see become the People’s Choice winner this year.

Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous, in collaboration with the Yukon Order of Pioneers (YOOP) is incredibly excited to unveil this year’s Mr. and Mrs. Yukon Dan and Valerie Drummond. Every year a Mr. and Mrs. Yukon is selected to represent the Yukon Order of Pioneers and the Yukon for the full year. There was a long list of very qualified couples and it was not an easy choice.

Over the last 40 + years, Dan and Valerie have given back to the Yukon, especially the Hockey Community and in 2011 they were awarded a Government of Yukon Community Leadership Award. Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous and the Yukon Order of Pioneers are confident that this couple will make outstanding ambassadors for all Yukoners.
