Participants and Judges for Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous’ new event SUPERSTAR announced!

The Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous (YSR) Society is pleased to announce the names of the participants and judges in the new festival event called “Superstar”, sponsored by Yukon Energy Corporation. 

“Rendezvous received an overwhelming response to our call for auditions,” said Derek Charlton, Chair of the organizing committee. “Auditions closed on February 1st and since that date the Judges and Committee have been going through the auditions and voting on which acts will be included in the event.  I am thrilled with the level of talent that we have seen apply for a spot with Superstar, considering this is the first year of this event.” It is important to note that while all acts have been invited to perform, only those that have completed their registrations have been listed in this release.

While the final format of the show is being worked out, the audience can expect to see different talents showcased. Acts include Solo Singers, a Band, as well as dance.  The show will be hosted by both Gillian Campbell and Musical Marjie, and will take place at the Yukon Arts Centre on February 23, 2012 starting at 7pm.  Tickets for the show are now on sale at Arts Underground in the Hougen Centre, Yukon Arts Centre Box Office, and online at this link.
