Festival Volunteer Opportunities 

There are a variety of opportunities to volunteer throughout the main festival weekend. From indoor to outdoor, 1 hour or 1 day. Every bit counts and we could not make the festival happen without your support. Please see below our volunteer positions for the festival.

Title: Performance Stage Manager

Program/Events: Performance Stage

Date/s: February 21st-23rd 

Description of Role: This position is responsible for the overall management of the Main Performance Stage over the Rendezvous weekend. This includes managing performers, staying on schedule, communicating with sound & tech and keeping the MC informed of festival activities. 

Previous experience recommended

 

Title: Candy Emporium Manager

Program/Events: Mr. Charlton's Rendezvous Candy Emporium

Date/s: February 21st-23rd 

Description of Role: This position is responsible for the overall management of the Rendezvous Concession over the weekend. The emporium will be selling popcorn, cotton candy and drinks. Please be advised that this concession stand is in the same room as the Main Performance room and expects to serve many festival goers.

Previous experience with cash management recommended

Title: Snowpad Assistant

Program/Events: Snowpad Operations

Date/s: February 21st-23rd 

Description of Role: As a Snowpad Assistant, you will work with the Snowpad coordinator in the facilitation of our snowpad events. Some of the roles will include, cleaning up event equipment, registering contestants, recording scores and measuring throw distances. 

Title: Swede Saw volunteer

Program/Events: Swede Saw Event

Date/s: February 22nd

Description of Role: As a volunteer with the Swede Saw event, you will work with the event coordinator in setting up the event, registering participants, and general facilitation of the event.

Title: Festival Box Office/Registration Assistant

Program/Events: Box Office and Registration

Date/s: February 21st-23rd 

Description of Role: As the box office and registration assistant, you will help with ticket sales, event registration and general box office duties.

Title: Candy Emporium Assistant

Program/Event: Candy Emporium

Date/s: February 21st-23rd

Description of Role: As the Candy Emporium assistant, some of your duties will include; making and selling cotton candy and popcorn, selling other candy and drinks, and much more.  

 

Title: Mad (am) Trapper Contest volunteer

Program/Event: Mad (am) Trapper Event

Date/s: February 22nd 

Description of Role: As a volunteer with the Mad and Madam Trapper contest, you will work with the event coordinator to organize and facilitate the competition. Some of the duties will include; registering participants, measuring distances, setting up and cleaning up after each event, score keeping and tabulating. 

 

Title: YSR Office Assistant

Program/Events: Office

Date/s: 5-20 hours per week starting in January

Description of Roles: The role of the YSR office assistant is to help out the office during our busiest time of the year. As the office assistant, some of the tasks you’ll help out with include; selling and filling ticket orders, selling merchandise, answering the phone, and responding to public inquiries.
