I’ve been a member of a fire dept. since I was 18 and was always required to be clean shaven. I started growing my beard when I medically retired from WHFD and was allowed, for the first time, to grow a beard. I entered the beard contest the last time it was in person (with a much shorter beard!). Now after 17 years in the Yukon, I have a beard truly worth entering the Rendezvous best beard contest!
who says beards can't be colourful?
I'm only 22 and I've already grown my own long johns, who needs to buy layers when you can grow your own?? Its like I'm always wearing chaps, but its leg hair
I'm not sure why, but it only grows down my shin bone.
She’s convinced that a nice thick layer of winter leg hair is warmer than merino wool baselayers 😉!
This picture depicts the mental and physical strength you need to usher yourself through the yukon. Winters are hard but there is also endless possibilities to find passions in you life here and find personal success.
Frosty mascara is the only makeup this Yukoner will wear! Not only is Shailyn out running when temperatures drop into the -40’s, she absolutely loves it! The colder the better for Shailyn.
